How do I get EBCDIC and ASCII value of a character?

If you could explain a bit more what you are trying to do, it would be easier to give you an example. I guess you are trying to translate between ASCII and EBCDIC; a web application, or stream file maybe? If so, visit the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l and search for iconv
