The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

On the serious side though, if IBM were to implement some of these
features as part of the compiler it would take off much better.
Sorry Aaron but it won't help. It would take way too long to a) implement
it and b) actually get the release in the hands of the developers. You're
looking at a minimum 12 - 18 months if IBM started work tomorrow - which
they won't - and that's just to release it. As Bob is fond of pointing out,
people don't all upgrade the minute a new release comes out - so
realistically you're looking at 2 - 3 years. Can you wait that long?
Perhaps more to the point - how many of the current frameworks for
PHP/Java/whatever were actually produced by the language "owner"? It seems
to me that this community is perfectly capable of developing such an
infrastructure - but whether it will or not is another issue.
Of course even if IBM developed a framework for RPG at least 75% of the
messages on this list would be about how they got it wrong <grin>
