Just to be clear, the CLLE is calling the RPGLE, not the other way around.
So I still need to put EXTPROC(*CL:'MyProc') on this, right?
Correct. It changes the way both the prototypen *AND* the procedure itnerface work, even though you only code it on the prototype. 



Is this hassle why *LGL variables are allowed for parameters, but not
return variables?


*LGL aren't allowed as return variables?  I didn't know that.
