Hello,
Character representation of a number value is in error (C G D F). This error occurs at statement 4397 of the code listed below. We know what the error is, but we do no understand why the Monitor is not catching it.
I seem to recall a bug like this back around 2002 or 2003. The monitor worked, but failed to clear the error condition, so if you left the subroutine or subprocedure, the error would show up in the caller.
I had this problem shortly after I installed V5R2, which I think was around 2003, and installing the latest CUM PTF (at the time) fixed the problem.
Is it possible that you're a few years behind on PTFs?
