I see that V5R2 is still in service, but only until April 30, 2007. 
Even if someone opened a PMR on this, I don't think we would do a V5R2
PTF for it.

For what it's worth, the reason behind not passing the OD for data
structures was because of a perceived future incompatibility if it ever
becomes possible to fully describe a DS.  But we decided in V5R3 that if
that ever happens, we would just add new RPG syntax to request the full
OD for the DS; the default would be to describe it as a character
string.
