Use the SQL Date() function to convert the numeric field to a date
field. From there it's a no-brainer.

Hi List,
There is a file having field XYZDAT( Numeric type, size 8,YYYYMMDD).
This field is used to hold the Invoice date but its data type is
numeric.I would like to make a date difference between Current date
Curdate( ) and XYZDAT. I need to change the data type numeric to Date
type.Any idea regarding the conversion of  data type from Numeric to
Date type ? would b grat if i can make it in a single SQL statement.
