SQL will use the job date format. So if job date is ISO (yyyy-mm-dd) and the 8 byte field is in YYYYMMDD then date() should work. For example: Select * from myfile where CURDATE < date(datefield) In the above CURDATE is the SQL function that retrieves the current date. The select will return every record where datefield is less than today. Thanks, S. Use the SQL Date() function to convert the numeric field to a date field. From there it's a no-brainer.
Isn't the SQL Date() function expecting the value in XYZDAT to be in a specific format in order to be able to convert it? Ciao!
