Yep. Just let the device do its trick and make it store an image on the IFS.
What we would need is the reference to the file stored (to be able to check the 
correct ending of this process and to be able to present the image again) to be 
stored in the transaction record .
That makes that we need to initiate this 'device trick' PC Activity from a 5250 
session or Browser (webfacing) to give the reference to store with or to get 
the reference back.

Our missing link is 'What fool proof way exist to initiate this with the 
possibilitie to send/retrieve parameters'.

I would imagine you would purchase a topaz or welch-allyn signature 
capture device and then write some VB or Java code to take the generated 
image and store it into the IFS on the iSeries if you plan to keep the 
image. 

The rest will be up to your own hands and minds :-)

This time we prefer to get to an solution with our own hands/minds.
There is no doubt that we can achieve that.
I was only searching for more/other way's of solving the problem so we can 
get to a better solution.
