Re: Periods in filenames

I got to thinking more about the logical file idea.  This is also a good 
time to externalize the definition.  That may be a little tricky though. 
Things like
IPROD                 SST(... 1 15) where ... is the one big field name 
for the internally defined file, is no big deal.  But converting a 
substring of a field into a packed number would be a bit more to handle.
