No big problem there.

Some may argue that there should be a maximum of some arbitrary number 
between the READ and the UPDATE.  In that case, break down everything 
between the read and the update into a subprocedure.
dow ReadFile();  // subprocedure ReadFile reads the data, returns an 
indicator for EOF.
  ProcessMain();  // main body.
  update  NIMASTR;
  // your good monitor stuff here...
EndDo;
