To load the data into an array, you have to read the data anyway. So why bother with an array. If the data is held in multiple records, then it should be easy to create a logical (if one doesn't already exist) so that you can read the data chronologically. Like I said, more information is required. Alan Shore NBTY, Inc (631) 244-2000 ext. 5019 AShore@xxxxxxxx rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 09/05/2006 09:41:10 AM:
This i am not sure of. I am asking this for a co-worker of mine. I
figured
we could load it into an array or something as needed. On 9/5/06, Alan Shore <AlanShore@xxxxxxxx> wrote:I think more information is required from you before any further suggestions can be made, for example. How is the data held, for what the customer owes? Is it held in
numerous
records for each customer, so you can read what the customer owes in chronological order? Is it all held on one record, with multiple like fields, one for each month? The monthly bills we send are broken into 4 sections and the money
the
customers pay are applied to the sections in a certain order. The
money

RPG
doesn't do it the same way as Java or other languages would. I hope I explained this well enough. Any suggestions?
