You have to insert another apostrophe for every one that they enter. So that
'Bob's stuff' comes out as 'Bob''s stuff' in the SQL statement.

Subject: Problem with delimiters using embedded SQL.

I'm having a problem with SQLRPGLE that I don't how to fix.

  We currently use embedded SQL:

  C/exec sql
  C+ PREPARE S1 FROM :W_STRING
  C/end-exec
  C/exec sql
  C+ DECLARE CURS1 CURSOR FOR S1
  C/end-exec
  C/exec sql
  C+ OPEN CURS1
  C/end-exec

  and then FETCH ...

The problem is that sometimes users put apostrophe "'" inside the search
arguments and the prepare statement fails (i.e Regent's).

Must be easy but I don't how to handle it.

  Thanks in advance

  Marco
