Hi

You're not conditioning the "WRITE STUDREC", so when you press F3 you're
still telling the program to write a record to the STUDENT file.

You should have:

          C                   IF        *IN03 = *OFF 

0007.00 C                   EVAL      SID =dSID  
0008.00 C                   WRITE     STUDREC     

          C                   ENDIF

As a matter of preference, I would tend to code the loop as a "DOU *IN03 =
*ON" purely because you know that you want the screen to be displayed at
least once and saying "Do until F3 is pressed" makes more sense than "Do
while F3 hasn't been pressed" (especially as F3 can't have been pressed
before the screen is displayed).
