Is not likely to be down if that is your company mail server. You said that the server name is an entry parm. Not sure if it matter, but in you code, are you trimming the tailing blank? Another thing to try is to remove the .com from the server name. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Cassidy, Alan Sent: Wednesday, July 05, 2006 3:46 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: RE: LDAP connections to the proper server, and unknown error??
You might want to try to use ldap_search_st instead. The
ldap_first_entry requires the result pointer that returned from ldap_search_st. Okay, I tried that again too. This time I get an 81 error on that, which is the LDAP_SERVER_DOWN constant. That sounds like an equivalent to "not able to contact LDAP server". --Alan -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
