Nothing wrong with buying a new machine, I'm all for it! As a software vendor, I have just now (this year) been able to safely start using QUALIFIED data structures ( a V5R1 enhancement ) in my code because the number of people at pre-V5R1 who are actually buying software has finally fallen off substantially. But until "everybody" moves to V5R3 or later, I am now "stuck" at V5R1. Of course V5R2 is a pointless release to be on, if you got it with a new machine, that's fine, but if you plan on upgrading OS software from V5R1 to something, you need to jump over V5R2 and go right to V5R3. -Bob Cozzi www.RPGxTools.com RPG xTools - Enjoy programming again. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Douglas W.
