By moving the eight character 'mm/dd/yy' field to a nine character
'0mm/dd/yy' field and then using *CMDY I got 19xx year.
That's true, but if you do that, it'll ALWAYS be 19xx. You'll never get 20xx. If you're going to do that, you might as well hardcode 1900 into your program, and create a new Y2K problem.
