How "expensive" a solution would this be in performance terms? I know in many languages (C++, Java, C#, etc.) exception handling is one of the most expensive operations you can do. Stack unwind is not a friendly operation. I also know message handling on the iSeries is expensive from a performance point of view. Of is this something that will be used rarely enough in something like an interactive job where other operations are so expensive compared to this that it won't matter. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x3051 WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur.
