Buck,

I agree with you that if the remote won't upgrade to a current release of 
the OS then why do we assume that they'll upgrade to a current cume?  Like 
all the bandwidth burned because the person who started this is running a 
cume from 3 years ago.

However, I suspect Cozzi will argue that the bif enhancement should not 
require any runtime enhancement and therefore the ptf argument doesn't 
hold water.  Right Bob?
