Griz,

First, let me applaud your efforts to upgrade your shop standards. Bringing
change to a stale shop is a daunting task, but don't lose sight of your
goals.

As I recall, RGPII source was simply copied to QRPGSRC, change the source
type from RPG36 to RPG. There were some coding changes needed in WORKSTN
files, I think... Still, the compiler tells you exactly what the problem
is, so it's still easy. Two or three programs later, you'll have a pretty
good idea of what your conversion issues might be.

It has been MANY years since I converted RPGII to the AS/400. I'm probably
forgetting something....

I want to thank everyone for their posts. It was kind of a vent in
disguise, but I appreciate the input.
I figured the library hardcoding would be the easiest problem to fix,
since changing the hardcoded values to *LIBL would be all it takes for
most of the source members. Then after compiling I will know that the
source matches the object :)
Another thing I have going for me is we are looking into getting on the
newest version of our ERP package. This will give me an opportunity to
review all of the programs. Is there a conversion command that will
convert RPGII source to RPGIII?
