If all you want to do is convert via CCSID, that's easy with iconv(). Well not easy, but do-able With RPG xTools you call xLateCCSID and your'd down. If you don't have them, watch out for the return handle in the icon() API itself it can be a little tricky. Also make sure you call the open and close routines as well as iconv() itself. -Bob Cozzi www.RPGxTools.com RPG xTools - Enjoy programming again. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Scott Klement Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 12:07 PM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Unicode/EBCDIC conversions?
