Why beat your head against the wall with RPG III limitations? I mean, it has been over a decade already. My general recommendation would be to move the program to RPG IV, adding *SrcStmt and *NoDebugIO, then work on debugging it. In my view, if a RPG III style program needs *any* work, it should be converted to RPG IV ast the first step. But then, I don't have vendor code to deal with either... Doug
