Do you mean OS and the compiler always have the same version? In fact that is also one doubt I have. If both have different versions then the compiler listing shows the version of which one...May be of the compiler. I have checked the old mails of this forum and was able to dig out a lot of information to find OS/400 version. I am fairly convinced about Use of the API QSZRTVPR.We can even use DSPOBJD Command and give option 8 to see SYSLVL(gives the version of the OS when the object was created), or use DSPDTAARA QSS1MRI.Infact options are plenty One doubt that daunts me now is whether IBM has separate hardware versions For each of its new OS releases?...Do they also follow the same version naming standards As VXRY ???How do I know if a particular OS version is compatible with a hardware Version? Someone please help!
