And to do either one, you must understand how a computer works. That's why I think assembly language programming is so important. I was lucky enough o have written a few languages and a couple of operating systems in my early years, and that's what allows me to continue to be successful today. A new language? Just another syntax. A new programming technology? Hey, it's still ones and zeros. RPG might be great, Java might be excellent, OO might be wonderful, SQL might be super, but in the end it's all assembly language.
