Yes, that was my first thought.... if you think data in the physical file
on the iSeries.

Normally a query on a file will show if anything is wrong with data in the
fields, but nothing showed up. Btw. the data in the error-fields is empty, 
but many of the other fields that updates correct is empty too.

That says to me that you have a data issue.  Have you looked at the raw
data?  The answer is always in the data.
