We have this same problem. We solved it by using an exit program on the
Telnet Device Termination exit point. When that device ends, the exit point
is called. Of course, this could be awhile, depending on the value of
QDSCJOBITV (Disconneted Jobs system value).

What is the QDEVRCYACN sysval set to?

If a message is sent to the program, you can trap it it by putting a
MONITOR/ON-ERROR around the EXFMT statement. There's a particular status
code (I think it's 1251, but don't quote me on that) that will come up.

               MONITOR;
                  exfmt MYSCREEN;
               ON-ERROR 1251;
                  exsr Recovery;
               ENDMON;

Though, I can't seem to visualize why this would cause an integrity issue,
unless it's in the middle of updating something and getting cut off at
that point? But that shouldn't happen, the error should occur when it
tries to work with the screen.
