That's quite humorous (to me any way). It also says that in my V5.1 PDF book (were actually at 5.2) and I never noticed that statement before this. I will definitely keep an eye on this. Does 5.3 allow the SET OPTIONS to be place anywhere also? The SQL Reference book states that "it is not executable and must precede any other SQL statement." Obviously, on your release the precompiler is not enforcing it. There is a high probability that in a future release the precompiler will enforce this. However, on a positive note, it comes along with a few things that I know have been on your wish list. :-) -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
