Try changing field1test to an indicator field - type 'n' and then assign
a value, or not, to field2test and rerun your test then.

Subject: Re: Eval with two equals?

Hmm, this is what I thought it was, but I just entered this code into a
source member I use for testing snippets of code:

   field1test = field2test = '1';
   dsply field1test;
   dsply field2test;

the first dsply returned '0'
the second one returned a blank

both field1test and field2test are defined as 1 byte alpha fields.

Anyone else care to chime in?

Thanks,

Mark
