I don't have any examples of doing this, but I would guess that, it would really depend on how much of an investment in time and complexity your management would want to go to for the optimization. In my experience, moving something to another language doesn't give you an automatic performance boost. You have to use the new language's advantages. What can C++ do better than RPG. What can be 'tweaked' in C++ better than RPG, and what lengths would you want to go to for this performance? Alot of times, setting something up to run swiftly can set you up for program maintenance nightmares. Sometimes, it's worth it. -- "Enter any 11-digit prime number to continue..."
