Palme Sent: Friday, March 18, 2005 8:46 AM To: RPG Group Subject: Strnage compile error I've spent about three hours this morning trying to figure out what the heck my problem is (yes, I know what the majority will answer with :) ) with this program, and so far searching on google hasn't given me any clues. I have an externally described printer file, it compiled just fine, when viewing it in RLU it looks just like its supposed to. In the RPGLE program I have the following line to declare the file FCustMast O E PRINTER OFLIND(*IN99) However in the compile printout I'm getting the following: RNF2086 40 a 000100 Device type of WORKSTN or PRINTER does not match external description; record formasts ignored. I haven't a clue what I'm doing wrong here. Below is the DDS for the printer file: * EXTERNALLY DESCRIBED CUSTOMER MASTER PRINTER FILE FOR ILMO R HEADINGS SKIPB(1) A 1DATE EDTCDE(Y) A 40'ILMO PRODUCTS COMPANY' A 87'PAGE' A 92PAGNBR EDTCDE(3) A SPACEA(1) A 40'CUSTOMER MASTER FILE' A SPACEA(1) A 2'CUST NO' A 13'CUSTOMER NAME' A 41'DATE OPENED' A SPACEA(1) A 1'=================================' A 34'=================================' A 67'==================================' A R DETAILLINE SPACEA(1) A ICMCUST# 9S 0 1 A ICMNAME 25A 13 A ICMDTOPN L 42 Any idea what I'm screing up? -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
