Strnage compile error

I've spent about three hours this morning trying to figure out what the heck 
my problem is (yes, I know what the majority will answer with :) ) with this 
program, and so far searching on google hasn't given me any clues.

I have an externally described printer file, it compiled just fine, when 
viewing it in RLU it looks just like its supposed to.

In the RPGLE program I have the following line to declare the file

FCustMast O      E                   PRINTER  OFLIND(*IN99)

However in the compile printout I'm getting the following:

RNF2086 40 a     000100  Device type of WORKSTN or PRINTER does not match 
external description; record formasts ignored.

I haven't a clue what I'm doing wrong here.
