Looking at some ptf cover letters it sounds like they made some changes in V5R3 to cause this error. In previous editions, it might allow this but then corrupted data might occur. One ptf mentions a trick in which you change your severity level to allow the compile to go through. (Delayed ptf, of course.) Then again, I did just put on cume 5032, which includes SI16120 and maybe that bad boy is causing the errors? I thought this was fixed. In fact, I'm pretty darned sure local support for variables was added. Because parts of this program have been in place for quite a spell now. However now I am getting SQL0314-Position 41 Host variable EXCHANGE not unique. on some of my local variables. Another drag is, you fix one, and then it reports another variable.
