Dennis,

1) If you just need to make a directory list available to your CL or RPG,
"DirTool" at
http://www.malume.de/ibmiseries/freeware/befehldirtool/index.html might
help. If you want to access an IFS file directly from RPG, look at
http://www.iseriesnetwork.com/resources/artarchive/index.cfm?fuseaction=view
article&CO_ContentID=19626&channel=home

2) If your project scope permits, you might give serious consideration to
replacing CPYFRMPCD with CPYFRMSTMF or CPYFRMIMPF. CPYFRMPCD is left over
from the old QDLS system which I am led to believe will soon be unsupported.

subject: Retrieving the contents of an IFS folder

Hello,

I need to dump some files into a folder on the IFS and then use a
CPYFRMPCD to a file on the 400, first being a replace and subsequent being
adds. And of course I'd like to automate it. =) Is there any way I can
use an RPG or CL to read the contents of the folder and then do the copy
commands automatically? Thanks in advance.

Dennis
