The Retrieve Short Name (QDBRTVSN) API will return the 10 character name associated with a long SQL table name. The API can be found in the Information Center under the Database category of system APIs. I understand ISeries comes up with a 10 digit name (First five characters + 00001), but I wasn't able to figure out, how to reference that name to the actual long SQL table name. thanks in advance for any help.
