Egads James! We agree wholeheartedly and without reservation! It should be a shop standard to ban the use of CALL on any SBMJOB, WRKJOBSCDE, etc if the CALL has so much as one parameter. Instead of CALL, create it's own command. My apologies. I wasn't following the thread all that closely, and missed that part entirely. Personally, I've never understood why anybody would fail to provide one for ANY *PGM intended to be called from the command line or used in a SBMJOB. If the *PGM's parameter structure is simple enough that it CAN be called directly from the command line, then writing a *CMD for it is almost trivial (and yet still makes it a lot easier to use); contrapositively, if a *CMD is non-trivial to write, then its *PGM is almost certainly impossible (or at least impractical) to use from the command line without one. -- JHHL -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
