Another thing Doug... It probably isn't wise to assign the same indicator to the SFLDSP & the SFLDSPCTL keywords. I never assign an indicator to the SFLDSPCTL keyword, cuz I want the Control Record to display irregardless of whether there are records in the subfile or not. Jerry L. Door is either open or closed I guess. I don't like doing that though. Looks confusing to someone coming in to fix something on the pgm. Is he talking about the opposite value of SFLDSP, SFLDSPCTL or both? I looked at a sample subfile a friend of mine sent me and he was using indicators 51 for the SFLDSP and SFLDSPCTL fields and 50 for SFLCLR....and it works... Can anyone explain what the author might have been talking about? Here is the example he gave: A 50 SFLDSP A 50 SFLDSPCTL A N50 SFLCLR Saying the N50 is the opposite of 50. -- This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
