Well, I would have to say that the most difficult part of it for me was configuring Apache. It has an incredibly user-friendly front-end, but I had to learn on the fast track about configuring HTTP servers in general. I am not sure from your message, but do you know RPG? If so, then using the examples in CGIDEV2 from the links provided in the previous messages should help you to build something relatively quickly. I would say that, comparing it to learning say, ASP, and how it interfaces to SQL server, it's simpler. But if you don't know RPG, well, that's another story.
