I didn't mention it previously, but I was the first chair trombone
player in the high-school band and the stage band when in the
8th grade.  (Not that they were hard-up for trombone players!)

For practice, I used to carry my trombone out into the field
(I grew up on a farm) and play to the cows.  They were the
only ones who really appreciated my playing skills!

I also toy around with the harmonica, so I guess I could be a one-man blues
band...
