BA in Guitar Performance from Mount Aloysius University in Pa. Class of
'83. This qualified me for absolutely nothing. Been doing this gig for
about 14 years now. Seems to be lots of musicians in the midrange area.
Lets start a band. Maybe play at Common sometime. :-)

And another music major...Bachelor of Fine Arts from UW-Milwaukee.  I
went back for "training" in programming.  My first employer hired me
because I had training in programming but had a college degree.  Others
from my training school were only hired as operators, even though we had
the same programming background and were comparable in abilities.  When
I went to my interview, I met a fellow UWM Music Department graduate who
was already working there as a programmer and met a couple others who
were strong musically.  We concluded that it had to do with being able
to process symbolic logic.  I suppose it could also have had something
do with not being as musically adept as we thought we were...  ;-)
