BA in Guitar Performance from Mount Aloysius University in Pa. Class of '83. This qualified me for absolutely nothing. Been doing this gig for about 14 years now. I went back for "training" in programming. My first employer hired me because I had training in programming but had a college degree. Others from my training school were only hired as operators, even though we had the same programming background and were comparable in abilities. When I went to my interview, I met a fellow UWM Music Department graduate who was already working there as a programmer and met a couple others who were strong musically. We concluded that it had to do with being able to process symbolic logic.
