Jon,

I understand what you're saying Jon. We're fighting a prejudiced view of RPG programmers as hacks, not computer scientists. The fact that this view eminates from within IBM saddens, but doesn't surprise me. Unfortunately, in my personal experience, most RPG programmers don't even know what you CAN do. They live in a closetted world where nothing exists outside QSYS.LIB and QDLS. I am doing my part to change this perception within my own IT department - it's great to see the eyes widen when they realise what they can do with RPG. (I'm not going to go into the reasons WHY these programmers are not aware of the capabilities of their own language - it'll just start a war)

If you truly feel that IBM will listen to us then I will certainly review the "sorcerers guide", and all of the other RPG redbooks I've read. I shall do it today.

I would suggest everybody else wanting to let IBM know we're here do the same. A sudden influx of reviews might cause some in IBM sit up and take notice of us.

Cheers

Larry
