And would the price be the same as the original price for RPG on the 
zSeries in the SAA heyday?  Wasn't that over a quarter million?
I believe they still do prpq's.  I think it's for stuff they can't make up 
their mind as to whether it should be part of the base OS.  Like Facsimile 
Support/400.

I am not sure though if the vendors would bite, or move.

Here's a question.  Supposing the vendors all did a quickie CVTRPGSRC. 
Would there still be any hangups left?  Like:
- Would /free still be forbidden in shops?
- Would activation groups, other than the default, be forbidden?
- Would subprocedures be forbidden?
- Service programs?
- Multiple module programs?
- True date fields in databases?

Make RPG-II/III compilers a PRPQ.  Does IBM still do those?

Still don't think this will have the desired effect, unless the acceptable
side effect is that we lose ISVs and shops to the dark side.
