Don't they already charge for these compilers? Is this a proposal for a charge in addition to the current compiler for RPG? Are they still enhancing these versions of these languages? If so, I would think that the first step would be to stop enhancements. If they have to rework the compiler each time they upgrade the OS then there is a cost involved that should not be shared by those that have moved on to the current syntax. So in that case I would support the extra charge. Otherwise not. Just add a routing entry to the subsystem you compile in that calls your own program, not QCMD. In that program scan the source for blank lines and change them to /SPACE and at the same time check for complier overrides in the source and change the request message.
