If you are using PDM, check the options under F18. You can specify a job
description to use for your batch jobs. You could create a special job
description for use by PDM, with a library list that includes a set of dummy
files for your DDM files.

If you are using WDSCi, use the same technique of specifying a special job
description to be used for your compiles.

That is the problem. I've to override it and have to compile on-line, which
is fine if I'm changing/creating the program at the moment. The real
problem comes when I change some master file and have to do some massive
recompile. Those programs will get error out and I've to research as what
file I've override them to (what a pain).

When I have that issue, I usually override the file (OVRDBF) before I
compile. Assuming that the two files above have the same format name, and
level identifier, this works.
