Charles is right, which is why I never thought about why the job description in PDM doesn't screw up my compiles. But since PDM does use *CURRENT as the library list, the programmer's library list could be altered to contain a library with the dummy files, or 2 short CL programs could be created, one to add the file library, and one to remove the file library. Then compiles could be done interactively or in batch. PDM uses the SBMJOB command which defaults the INLLIBL parm to *CURRENT. Thus, PDM doesn't use the library list set up in the specified JOBD. You could change the SBMJOB defaults, but that would open up a whole new can 'o worms.
