When I have that issue, I usually override the file (OVRDBF) before I compile. Assuming that the two files above have the same format name, and level identifier, this works. But I agree in a way, it would be nice, especially when you have a file that is in a library that is not in your library list, but it is on the system, and you resolve it in your F-specs with an extfile keyword, and specify the actual lib and file name (not a variable), but the compile still insists the file be in your library list. Compiler errors it out because CUSTMASTDDM doesn't really exist. > It would be nice if we can have a keyword that specify the actual file to use > when compiling it. > > thanks > -- > This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list > To post a message email: RPG400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx > To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, > visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/rpg400-l > or email: RPG400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives > at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l. > > -- "Enter any 11-digit prime number to continue..."
