Duane, You can use the SystemDefault.properties file to control which JVM is launched. For example, if you wanted to use 1.2, your file would resemble: Browse : /QIBM/UserData/Java400/SystemDefault.properties Record : 1 of 3 by 14 Column : 1 59 by 79 Control : ....+....1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5....+....6....+....7....+.... ************Beginning of data************** java.version=1.2 There are a couple of articles at www.itjungle.com which discuss modifying the SystemDefault.properties file. Without using the JNI APIs? I have built a test RPG program to call some simple Java methods, which works great. I am told by the person building the Java programs that we will need to use version 1.4 of the JVM, but by default the AS/400 uses version 1.3 of the JVM. Thanks Duane Christen P.S. All of the information in this list on RPG/Java interface was a great help getting to this point! Thanks to all of the contributers!
