Setting the JVM version

Does anyone know how to set the JVM version within RPG? Without using the
JNI APIs?

I have built a test RPG program to call some simple Java methods, which
works great. I am told by the person building the Java programs that we will
need to use version 1.4 of the JVM, but by default the AS/400 uses version
1.3 of the JVM.
