RE: Always print sign, + or -, in O-spec

There is a way to do it with Edit Masks, but it looks like it would take
some Rocket Science tactics to make it work... manipulating the string in
RPG IV seems much easier.

Ya.  CRTEDTD command.

And there is an option to print a positive sign, but it looks like it will
print with a zero value as well.  Oh, and it follows the numeric value,
instead of an option to float it in front of the value.

Looks like I'll take Bob's advice.

BTW, it looks like OS/400 ships with edit codes 5-9 already defined (WRKOBJ
*ALL/*ALL *EDTD).  Is there a way to know whether any of these are used
anywhere on the system?  They were all created by *IBM back in 1992, and
none show a Last Used Date on the object description (but "Usage data
collected" is set to NO).
