Sorry, Simon. aXes is such a weird bird, what with its proprietary web server and it's special programming language, that I often forget about it. It's certainly a unique option, making use of open source technologies such as FastCGI and Lua, as well as its proprietary method of avoiding the interactive tax. And of course, the entire concept of using XML as a presentation layer. I certainly encourage everyone who needs to reface their applications to take a look at the product, and especially the generated screens, to see what an XML-based solution looks like. If the interface is adequate for your needs, it's a reasonable solution. http://www.arterialsoftware.com/ I in fact covered all of the players in this space back in February. Feel free to review my column, including comments from "Bob", someone associated with Arterial Software, the makers of aXes. http://www.mcpressonline.com/mc/.6ae97856 Joe
