Problem with chain -- RPG400-L

Dear all, I have this problem with my program, when I try to chain a file using 
KLIST and the KLIST actually matches the records on the file, however, the  
KYPLN     CHAIN   RDDPLNLOG             78          IF    *IN78 = *OFF          
             * do the processing           ELSE
