The challenge is the "handoff". Your iSeries, presumably, would need some kind of telephony device to send the dial command to. I am not sure where you would find such an animal. I guess you could use a socket based app to talk to a not-iSeries telephony device (VoIP would be a good fit). Alternatively, if the headset was plugged into the local PC and then into the phone system, you could send the dial command to the PC and it, in turn , could do the dialing. I am guessing that there must be a iSeries CRM product that does this. But how it does it would be interesting to find out. We do telephony applications that talk to iSeries databases, but one that has the level of integration that you are looking for, we haven't done yet. My guess is that something that talks to the PC would be easiest, but, depending upon the PBX you use, there might be several more options.
